First week back…

What a fantastic week Year 5 have had!

I have been so impressed with their attitude to learning this week and for all of their hard work.

I have added our timetable to the tab so that you can see what we are doing each day, but would like to highlight that Wednesday and Thursday are our PE days so children should come to school in their PE kits on those days.

I have also added a copy of this half terms homework challenges which your child should have in their pink homework book. Homework is encouraged to support children’s learning in the classroom. Homework books will be handed out on Fridays and collected in on Thursdays. There are several tasks for the children to complete over the half term and they might like to complete one- two pieces each week.

Here are some photos showing what we have been getting up to this week…

Have a great, restful weekend and I look forward to seeing you all again on Monday!

Odysseus- Text Map

We have been introduced to our new text today which is ‘The Adventures of Odysseus’. This half term we will be focusing on one chapter within the book (The Cyclops). To help us learn our modelled text, children can create their own text map or they can use the one below.

Happy practising!
